The Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block, one of Jinan's top scenic spots, was included in the first batch of 55 national tourism leisure blocks, according to a report released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The block in Jinan's Lixia district is a demonstration zone for the preservation of traditional architecture and renovation for modern use. It is home to a wide range of the city's intangible cultural heritage items and traditional handicrafts such as shadow puppetry, papercutting, wood carving, and clay rabbit making.

Visitors not only get to view exquisite artworks, but can also learn about the way inheritors make these crafts.
