According to a list recently issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Lixia district in Jinan was selected as an Eco-Civilization Construction Demonstration Zone in 2021.

Lixia district, which is located in provincial capital Jinan in East China's Shandong province, boasts the highest quality of ecological resources and the most beautiful natural environment in the Jinan with Qianfo Mountain, Baotu Spring, and Daming Lake as the three major scenic spots.

Focused on ecological construction, Lixia district has rolled out a series of measures to upgrade its living environment such as the coordinated development of environmental protection and economic development.

In 2020, the GDP of Lixia district reached 190 billion yuan ($29.8 billion), ranking first in Jinan and second in Shandong province, which is attributed to the ecological construction.

Since pollution prevention and control measures have been implemented, the government of Lixia district will continue to build a beautiful Jinan city and promote the integration between people and nature.
