A number of international sister city gardens have been built across Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, as part of efforts to strengthen Jinan's exchanges with sister cities.

One of them – South Korea's Suwon Garden – is located at the northwestern corner of the intersection of Longding Avenue and Xishan East Road in Lixia district. Let's have a look.

Suwon Garden spans about 2,000 square meters, and the city of Suwon designed the garden with a Hwaseong Fortress style.

Construction of the garden started in October 2021 and was finished in December the same year.

The garden's construction techniques, materials, decorations and colors were implemented as a symbol of Suwon's iconic scenery, aiming to deepen Jinan locals' understanding of the sister city and promote mutual cultural exchanges.

Suwon is the capital city of Gyeonggi province in South Korea. It established international sister-city relations with Jinan on Oct 27, 1993.
