Jinan's Lixia district has achieved outstanding success in preserving traditional culture, with five local items included in the Shandong provincial government's sixth group of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items.

The recognized projects include stone pole and stone lock practices, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) architectural techniques, Bajiquan (a Jinan-style martial art), traditional pasta-making techniques (Shandong-style pastry), and traditional tea-making techniques (Jiaozhao tea).

These selections highlight Lixia district's dedication to protecting China's rich cultural legacy. Spanning traditional sports, craftsmanship, and culinary arts, these items boast deep historical and cultural significance.

Out of seven nominations submitted by Lixia district, five were selected, marking the highest success rate among all Jinan districts. The cultural and tourism bureau of Lixia district ensured comprehensive and detailed applications, showcasing each item's historical and cultural value.

Building on this achievement, the bureau plans to further explore local culture, improve protection mechanisms, and ensure these cultural treasures are preserved and passed on to future generations.

Lixia district remains committed to safeguarding traditional culture and aims to retain its status as a leader in cultural preservation.
