Double Ninth Festival, also known as Chongyang Festival, falls on Oct 29. In Lixia district, scenic spots are hosting a variety of cultural and interactive activities, allowing residents and visitors to experience the city's rich traditions.

The festival is a time to pay respect to the elderly, marked by traditional customs such as hiking and enjoying chrysanthemum flowers, cakes, and even wine.

A mountain fair is being held at Qianfo Mountain from Oct 25 to Nov 2, featuring folk crafts, performances, and local delicacies. Visitors can explore vibrant markets, enjoy performances, and participate in traditional activities such as making sachets and sipping chrysanthemum tea.

Highlighting Jinan's unique cultural heritage, performers dressed as Emperor Shun, a legendary ruler from before 2,000 BC, reenact historical scenes through parades and ritual ceremonies. Beijing Opera performances add further cultural depth to the festivities.

The Baotu Spring Chrysanthemum Exhibition is another highlight of the festival, showcasing bonsai chrysanthemums, large-scale sculptures, and creatively shaped displays. Visitors can also enjoy costume parades, tea ceremony performances, and chrysanthemum-themed markets.
