The Lixia district promotion conference took place in Jinan on Oct 29 as part of the 2025 Shandong–Japan Industry Matchmaking Conference.
The event gathered over 60 representatives from leading Japanese and Chinese enterprises to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
During the event, Yang Li, vice-mayor of Jinan, said that the city is entering a pivotal stage of strategic opportunity, with multiple initiatives and high-level platforms creating favorable conditions for international collaboration.
She highlighted that Lixia boasts a solid industrial foundation and distinctive strengths in modern finance, biomedicine, and the digital economy, and expressed hope for deeper collaboration and joint development.
Zhao Zhiwen, head of Lixia district, presented the district's advantages from five dimensions of heritage, resources, industry, innovation, and openness. He added that Lixia will continue to offer a first-class business environment and strong policy support to strengthen cooperation with enterprises.
The head of Dong'e county, Yu Bingtao, outlined the county's strengths and favorable policies, expressing hope for closer and long-term partnerships with Japanese companies.
Before the conference, representatives visited the Jinan Central Business District (CBD) exhibition hall, gaining insight into the area's development, strategic positioning, and investment opportunities.
The event served as a platform to boost economic and trade exchanges between Lixia and Japan and to propel the district's high-quality development.
