The Latin American and Caribbean Music Festival, a major part of the Latin American Arts Season, was held in Jinan from Sept 15 to 17, offering a vibrant celebration of music and culture.

During their stay, artists from Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Trinidad and Tobago visited Jiefanglu subdistrict of Lixia district to engage with local communities.

Dressed in traditional qipao, Chinese folk artists presented electrifying instrumental performances and vivid paper-cutting demonstrations. Artists from Latin America and the Caribbean delivered lively music and passionate dance performances, providing the audience with a fresh and engaging experience.

The foreign artists also tried their hand at calligraphy and joined community residents in making dumplings, bringing art and culture to life.

The event offered a window into Chinese culture and everyday life, fostering cultural exchanges and strengthening friendship between the Chinese people and the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.
