The Jinan Central Business District (CBD) in Lixia district has made China's top 20 business districts in comprehensive competitiveness for the fifth consecutive year, marking another national recognition of the district's development as a major business and service hub.

The CBD was named to the list at the 2026 headquarters economy conference and the Six High-quality Urban Development Conference, held on Sept 11 in Beijing as part of the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services.

More than 400 representatives from international organizations, government agencies, industries, and businesses attended the forum. Discussions covered new approaches to attracting corporate headquarters, developing commercial districts, and creating vibrant urban spaces, as well as closer government-business cooperation and better integration of industry with urban development.

Jinan CBD was selected as a representative example of high-quality urban development alongside leading business districts including Beijing Central Business District and Guangzhou Tianhe Central Business District.
