The 2026 Spring Festival temple fair is scheduled to take place at Jinan's World's Best Spring Scenic Area in Lixia district, linking four major landmarks – Daming Lake, Baotu Spring, Wulongtan Park, and Huancheng Park – into a unified festive route.
Kicking off in mid-February, the event will combine Jinan's iconic spring culture with traditional temple fair customs, offering a festive experience across these connected scenic spots.
At the Daming Lake scenic spot, creative markets will take center stage, showcasing intangible cultural heritage such as paper-cutting, dough sculpture, and local specialty delicacies. Baotu Spring and Wulongtan Park will offer folk arts and traditional blessing rituals, including themed activities inspired by Qin Qiong, the well-known Tang Dynasty (618–907) general.
Huancheng Park will host an interactive intangible cultural heritage (ICH) fair where live demonstrations of sugar painting, dough sculpture, and other traditional crafts bring time-honored skills to life along the waterfront.
From dragon and lion dances to live music performances, the temple fair blends timeless traditions with contemporary entertainment, providing residents and visitors a vibrant Spring Festival experience.
