Lixia district in Jinan celebrated Lantern Festival with a vibrant array of cultural events, blending traditional folk customs and interactive experiences.

The visual centerpiece was the 45th Spring Festival lantern fair at the World's Best Spring Scenic Area. This event linked Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, Wulongtan Park, and the city moat, crafting a unified illuminated landscape where glowing lanterns merged seamlessly with the flowing springs.

In Mingfu Ancient City, temple fairs have turned historic streets into performance spaces. Daily shows, immersive NPC parades, and hands-on activities introduced visitors to intangible cultural heritage crafts, traditional snacks, and creative cultural products. Guests participated in paper-cutting and pottery-making, while enjoying tea and festival pastries.

At Daming Lake scenic area, over 3,000 lantern riddles based on Chinese classics and local folklore challenged participants. Meanwhile, at Lao She's (1899-1966) former residence, a riddle event invited visitors to solve puzzles inspired by the celebrated writer's depictions of Jinan.
