The Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block in Lixia district has emerged as a vibrant destination for experiencing traditional culture in Jinan. Blending traditional sightseeing with hands-on activities, the historic area offers visitors an immersive way to explore local craftsmanship and cultural traditions.

Across the block, specialized workshops invite visitors to learn ancient techniques under the guidance of master artisans. At the Xiangqun shadow puppet workshop, a craft passed down through five generations, visitors can watch traditional performances and even assemble their own puppets. Nearby, a tie-dye studio uses natural dyes and local spring water to create distinctive textiles, while a cloisonné enamel workshop demonstrates the delicate "pinching and coloring" technique used to produce intricate jewelry and decorative items.

Other workshops showcase traditional lacquer art and Lu embroidery. Visitors are able to create their own lacquer fans and brooches while learning about the artistic heritage behind the craft. In Lu embroidery workshops, expert artisans guide participants through the delicate stitching techniques of this traditional craft.
