Jinan's expanding metro network is reshaping how people move, shop, and spend time in Lixia district, linking commercial areas, cultural attractions, and everyday services.

Lixia, which is served by several major lines including Jinan Metro Lines 2, 3, 4, and 6, has emerged as a key interchange area connecting major commercial and urban hubs.

The impact is particularly evident around metro stations. After the opening of Jinan Metro Line 4, daily passenger traffic at Jinan MixC more than doubled, with both traffic and sales during major holidays also doubling. At metro stations, small businesses such as coffee shops and bakeries cater to commuters.

This integration of transit and commerce is also driving new development. The planned Qianfo Mountain Station TOD project will include 51,000 square meters of commercial space and connect directly with Qianfo Mountain Scenic Area through an elevated pedestrian corridor. The Greenland International Finance Square commercial street has opened near Ancheng Street Station, with 70 brands already operating there.

Metro stations are meanwhile becoming gateways for tourism and cultural experiences, connecting visitors with major attractions.
