​Conference to bolster SME development held in Lixia

The 2021 annual meeting of the alliance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lixia district was held in Lixia district, Jinan, Shandong province on April 28.

The conference issued the alliance’s work plan for 2021, as well as the 2021 list of national, provincial, and municipal honorary enterprises. The alliance also signed a strategic cooperative agreement with Jinan Rural Commercial Bank Lixia district branch.

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises are the main force in promoting economic growth and employment, officials said.

Lixia district has established an investment alliance, a finance alliance, as well as a small and medium-sized enterprise alliance to help local enterprises overcome financing demands and business problems.

The local government has also organized training courses for enterprises, launched supporting policies to attract investment, as well as provided incentives and measures for startup enterprises to create a sound business environment for enterprises’ development.

As a result, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Lixia have contributed to 80 percent of the district’s employment, 70 percent of its technological innovation, 60 percent of the its GDP, as well as 50 percent of its tax revenue.

In the collaboration and paired assistance between the eastern and western regions, more than 400 small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as social organizations in the district donated more than 15 million yuan in goods and funds.

Lixia district will provide continuous help for the development of enterprises, as well as provide more resources for local firms in terms of policy, strategic cooperation, markets, platforms, and training.
