A skateboarding competition was held at the Qifangxiang International Fashion Creative Center in Lixia district, Jinan on June 18 in honor of the Go Skateboarding Day which is celebrated on June 21 every year.

During the event, hundreds of amateurs and professional skateboarders showcased their skills, and challenged each other with difficult tricks, creating a lively ambience among participants and spectators.

Skateboarding made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

"It is not only a sport, but a culture," said a skilled skateboarder.

As a fashion center in Jinan, Qifangxiang has insisted on its concept of integrating creative ideas, culture and fashion into every moment of urban life.

In addition to the skateboarding competition, Qifangxiang has also held intangible cultural heritage expos, fashion shows and more.

An exhibition and experiential center for handicrafts will also be built at the Qifangxiang, promoting the integration of diversified cultures and the development and innovation of traditional Chinese culture.

The center, which features exhibitions, experiences, shopping, research, and tourism, is projected to become a popular cultural hub and tourist attraction.
