The main structure of Shandong International Financial Center (IFC), which is located in Lixia district, Jinan, capital of Shandong province, was topped off on June 9.
Hailed as the highest building in Shandong, the IFC is located in the core area of Jinan Central Business District (CBD), and stands 428 meters above the ground with 88 floors. It will operate a variety of businesses, including 5A-level offices, high-end apartments, and a super five-star hotel.
It will serve as a new calling card for Jinan and Shandong to the globe, as well as a landmark building with extraordinary clout in the Bohai Economic Rim area and the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.
The construction and development of Jinan CBD, which is expected to become a headquarters economy center and a cluster of financial institutions that focuses on transforming old growth drivers into new ones and leads the provincial capital's high-quality development, has been given top priority by the Lixia district government in recent years.
To date, Jinan CBD has built an array of high-end carriers with a total area of more than 3 million square meters and has more than 6,500 enterprises operating in the area.
According to the development plan, 62 skyscrapers above 100 meters and 13 above 200 meters will be built in Jinan CBD, creating more space for the city's high-quality growth.
