Jinan's Lixia district on July 31 signed cooperation agreements with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and two subsidiaries of Chinese tech giant Baidu Inc and cloud computing and big data supplier Inspur Group during the first China Computational Power Conference which opened in Jinan on July 30.
A national block chain infrastructure construction project is the focus of the collaboration with CAICT and is anticipated to provide crucial support for Shandong's industrial internet development once it is finished.
According to the agreement with Baidu's subsidiary, an artificial intelligence industry empowerment center and a Baidu cloud and Kaiwu Industrial Internet innovation center will be built in Lixia district to push forward the digitalized transformation and upgrading of local companies.
Inspur Group agreed that it will help accelerate Lixia's digitalization of economic and social development and spur regional digital industrial development.
Lixia district has prioritized the digitalization in promoting high-quality development, and has beefed up efforts to boost the integrated development of digital industrialization, industrial digitalization and smart urban construction.
The district is home to the regional Shandong headquarters of Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei and is building a new-generation information technology industrial cluster that revolves around cloud computing, digital robots, industrial software, smart driving, smart cities and AI algorithms.
Local authorities also plan to focus on related resources, industries and professionals in the Changling area to speed up the industrial upgrading and digitalization of the whole city.
