Lixia district in Jinan has recently rolled out 15 policies including subsidies for rent, production and operation, financial support for investment, consumption stimulation, employment stabilization and promotion, and administrative approval procedures optimization, to relieve the burdens on enterprises amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hotels and catering businesses that rent more than 500 square meters of non-State-owned property can receive up to a 100,000 yuan ($14,830) subsidy.
Municipal-level start-up incubation centers that rent non-State-owned properties and mitigate rentals for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the centers are eligible for a three-month maximum total subsidy of 300,000 yuan.
Non-State-owned service enterprises above designated size, and whose operation revenue during the January-to-June period increased and was higher than the average of the sector, can receive a one-off subsidy of 50,000 yuan.
A maximum 500,000 yuan subsidy will be given to fund companies that have invested in key industrial enterprises or projects in Lixia district.
For enterprises that have hired people with difficulties finding jobs, a subsidy of 1,000 yuan per person per month will be offered to the employers.
The district government will also issue coupons worth a total of 2 million yuan to stimulate consumption in the culture and tourism sectors.
Applications for the preferential policies will be open until Aug 31.
