Lixia district's 2024 Qingming Festival holiday tourism season flourished under the theme of ''spring economy'', blending cultural heritage with modern attractions to achieve record engagement. Key scenic spots, including the First Spring Scenic Area and Qianfo Mountain, hosted events such as flower festivals, folk fairs, and hanfu parades, attracting over 920,000 visits—a 34.57 percent bump from last year. The district's hospitality industry also saw growth, with 10 major hotels accommodating 2,765 guests, indicating consistent demand for diverse accommodations.
Tourism revenue demonstrated strong momentum, with ticket sales at major sites reaching 5.95 million yuan (approximately $820,690), hotel revenues at 6.08 million yuan, and homestays contributing 70,000 yuan. Family trips and short-distance travel were prevalent, highlighting a preference for personalized, high-quality experiences. Self-drive and parent-child tours were particularly popular and aligned with evolving travel trends.
To improve visitor satisfaction, Lixia expanded services by adding more tourist information points and volunteer stations, offering free guides, medical support, and luggage storage. These efforts, coupled with creative ''ticket + experience'' packages like the Minghu Spring Awakening Party and riverside markets, boosted secondary spending and saw widespread praise. Over 10,000 visitors benefited from these initiatives, noting the district's seamless integration of convenience and cultural immersion.
Looking ahead, Lixia plans to deepen its focus on cultural-tourism fusion, supply-side reforms, and premium offerings to sustain growth. By prioritizing innovative products and service excellence, the district aims to solidify its status as a top destination for both domestic and international travelers, ensuring long-term vitality for its tourism industry.
