The 44th Baotu Spring Lantern Festival in Jinan's Lixia district is set to open with a captivating blend of tradition and innovation.
Running until mid-February in 2025, the festival will span multiple scenic areas, including Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, and Wulong Pond Park, featuring vibrant light displays, cultural themes, and interactive activities.
Baotu Spring, the heart of the festival, will highlight Jinan's rich cultural heritage. With 52 key installations, it will showcase traditional symbols like koi fish, the "Nian" beast, and persimmons, creating a festive atmosphere. Cultural elements such as poetry and tributes to the poet Li Qingzhao (1084-1155) will emphasize the beauty of Jinan's springs and the unique charm of Shandong culture.
