As the Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, approaches, Jinan's central business district (CBD), which is located in Lixia district, has launched many activities to create a festive atmosphere.

The Zigong lantern, which is an intangible cultural heritage item in China, is on display at Paradise Walk, a popular shopping mall in Jinan. Lanterns in different shapes, including phoenixes, dragons and the god of fortune, all have symbolic implications in Chinese culture and are being showcased at the mall for the first time. The Jinan Acrobatic Troupe, a world-class acrobaric troupe, showcases its first performance in 2023 for Jinan residents at Paradise Walk.
