In the 2025 Top 100 Innovative Districts report by CCID Consulting, Lixia district once again ranked first among Jinan's districts, showcasing its ongoing commitment to developing new quality productive forces and creating innovation-driven IP.

Lixia's success can be attributed to two major reasons. The first is its focus on scientific and technological innovation, including lab systems, provincial technology innovation centers, and engineering research hubs. By the end of 2024, Lixia had established 78 labs, 11 provincial innovation centers, and 103 provincial engineering research centers, leading Jinan on all three counts.

The second reason is its efforts to commercialize technology through the Shandong Science and Technology Market, academicians' workstations, and concept verification centers. Since its opening in 2024, the Shandong Science and Technology Market has hosted 3,357 tech achievements, generating 1.1 billion yuan (approximately $150 million) in transactions. With partnerships with over 100 universities and research institutions, it supports breakthroughs in fields like smart manufacturing, medical equipment, and aerospace.

Lixia district also fosters a thriving environment for emerging industries, including IoT, robotics, and biomedicine. Companies like Shandong Ruiquan Electronics and Jinan Huangtai Gas Stove are already making waves, with products distributed across multiple countries.

The district's focus on innovation, coupled with strategic collaborations and robust infrastructure, has solidified its position as a leading tech hub in Jinan, propelling both economic and cultural growth.
